The event gathered more than 250 guests from the industry, agriculture, and collection sectors, in the presence of Peter Kullgren, Sweden’s Minister for Rural Affairs, and Andreas Malmberg, CEO of Trioworld. Together, they celebrated a powerful symbol of innovation, courage, and commitment to sustainability.

“Everyone told us it was impossible — but we didn’t know it, and that’s why we did it,” said Andreas Malmberg, highlighting the bold and pioneering spirit that drove this achievement.

Making Agriculture Smarter with Plastics

For decades, Trioworld has been committed to showing how plastics can make agriculture smarter — improving efficiency, productivity, and the preservation of valuable resources. With this new facility, that vision takes tangible form by closing the loop between production, use, and reuse of plastic materials.

The new plant is capable of processing up to 25,000 tons of waste annually, sourced from the hospital sector, industrial stretch films, and agricultural bale wrap. These materials are given a second life — transformed into high-performance recycled plastics ready for reuse.

Vertical Integration: A Sustainable Model for the Future

At a time when the recycling industry is under pressure, Trioworld is leading by example through vertical integration of recycling into its industrial model. This approach not only secures material supply but also strengthens the company’s economic resilience and environmental performance.

“Vertical integration of recycling in the industry is under development as a reliable and sustainable economic model,” said Malmberg. “It allows us to control quality, reduce our carbon footprint, and maintain competitiveness in a challenging global context.”

A Circular Future Within Reach

The inauguration in Korsberga represents far more than the opening of a new plant — it’s a tangible step closer to a circular world.

By investing in advanced recycling technology and embracing a spirit of innovation, Trioworld proves that with determination and collaboration, what once seemed impossible can indeed be achieved.
